Dried
Chillies

Our specially selected dried chillies cover a full spectrum of flavours and heat levels, from the sweet and mild to the hot and wild!

Chilli
Plants

Purchase a chilli seedling in the spring and by the autumn your very own fresh chillies will be ripe for harvesting!

Chillies lift spirits, act like an aphrodisiac, may speed up weight loss, and add something extra special to all manner of dishes. At Chilli Zoo, we’ve created chilli products to show chillies at their best. We’ve chilli jams, marmalade, relish and oils, plus our ever-popular range of dried chillies. And of course, when they’re ready to come out, you can become a ‘Chilli Keeper’ by taking home and nurturing your very own chilli plant!

Pam Davenport, Head Chilli Keeper, Chilli Zoo

Behind the scenes
at Chilli Zoo

In my other life as a doctor of psychology I’ve learned that people and chillies both respond to nurturing, personal attention and thoughtful handling!  Therefore much of my time is spent tending the chilli plants in the polytunnel in springtime until they are ready to come out to play.

I also take care of hand-cooking all of the chilli preserves. I cook in small batches to maintain the highest quality, so this is very much an all-year-round task.

Me, Bear the cat – a former stray and now self-appointed protector of the polytunnel – and helpers aged eight to 80-something are now in our fourth year of business. The response and loyalty from our growing band of chilli-lovers has been tremendous.

Thank you all!
